St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers serves south-central Indiana at three campuses - Beech Grove, Indianapolis and Mooresville – and offers a full range of services to meet the needs of south-central Indiana.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Blood and Marrow Transplantation program expands the oncology program at St. Francis and is one of only three full-service bone marrow transplant programs in Indiana.
  • The Cancer Care Services program at St. Francis is robust and delivers to patients the latest treatments and technologies. The program also has three nurse navigators specially trained to help guide patients from diagnosis throughout the treatment process.
  • The bariatric surgery program through the St. Francis Weight Loss Center is an American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The center offers medical and surgical treatments for obesity, including physician-supervised weight loss, LAP-BAND and Realize adjustable gastric bands, gastric bypass surgery, gastric sleeve surgery, weight management programs and StomaphyX procedures for previous gastric bypass patients.
  • St. Francis is designated a Premier “Spirit of Women” Hospital.
  • The HLA-Vascular Biology Laboratory at St. Francis is the site of groundbreaking science. Current research at the lab could lead to improved standards for the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases as well as new biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, and future risk assessments for cancer and diabetes.
  • Diagnostic imaging includes CT and MRI (open and closed).

SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
  • The St. Francis Neighborhood Health Center, located in the Garfield Park neighborhood near St. Francis Hospital-Beech Grove, was established in a medically underserved, medical professional shortage area, in 1997. NHC’s primary focus is to help patients identify a “medical home,” and improve primary health-care access for them through community financial assistance programs.  No patient is turned away because he or she cannot pay for care.
  • St. Francis has a long-standing Parish Nurse program with 28 Parish Nurses. The Parish Nurse program operates in the five counties of Morgan, Marion, Johnson, Putman and Decatur.
  • As a way to serve older adults in south-central Indiana, St. Francis started its Senior Promise program in 1987, serving more than 8,000 members at the Indianapolis. Mooresville and Beech Grove campuses.
  • St. Francis has sponsored numerous community health activities including the Mini Marathon, Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, St. Francis Soccer Alliance and the “Docs versus Jocks versus Drugs” annual basketball game.
  • St. Francis offers a variety of health and wellness programs to the Indiana and south-central Indiana communities. Health fairs are conducted annually at events with high traffic volume such as Indiana Black Expo.
  • Center of Hope offers hope for sexual assault victims, who receive medical and legal assistance in a private, quiet and compassionate environment. The program allows the sexual assault victim and his or her support persons to focus one-on-one.
  • St. Francis supports anti-smoking legislation and offers tobacco cessation classes on an ongoing basis.

  • St. Francis Health Network coordinates the medical care of more than 40,000 patients with 400 physicians and anciliary providers.
  • St. Francis Medical Group is an association of more than 75 physicians representing a variety of specialties and who have partnered with St. Francis Hospital to provide care to patients in Indianapolis and south-central Indiana.
  • St. Francis Sports Medicine Clinic programs prevention and treatment of acute and chronic sports-related injuries.
  • St. Francis Occupational Health Center provides OSHA physicals, drug screenings, flu vaccinations and much more to local employers.
  • The Inn at St. Francis at the Indianapolis campus is a full-service hotel, offering reasonable rates and excellent accommodations to families of patients, visitors and the public.
