Pharmacy services are provided at all Sisters of St. Francis Health Services, Inc. (SSFHS) hospitals. Professional pharmacists are members of the healthcare team and have the opportunity to interact directly with patients, physicians and other healthcare providers. As a SSFHS pharmacist, you may have the opportunity to practice in a number of specialized areas including Nuclear Pharmacy, Drug and Poison Information and Intravenous Therapy. In addition, you will provide clinical services in the areas of Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Women's Health, Orthopedics, Neurology, Behavioral Health and many more. A pharmacy career in our organization offers not only professional development opportunities, but opportunities for personal commitment and service to others.
In addition to direct patient care, our pharmacists are responsible for the systems that control drug distribution. Our Pharmacy Departments maintain records on each patient, using them to not only fill medication orders, but also to screen for drug allergies and adverse drug effects. Because of the diversity of activities involved in our Pharmacy Departments, we are also looking for professionals who have management expertise including finance and budgeting, personnel administration skills, and planning and systems development experience.
As our hospital pharmacists continue to become more involved in providing patient-oriented services, the demand for professional practitioners continues to grow. Our desire is to recruit and retain dedicated pharmacy professionals who, together with other enthusiastic healthcare professionals, will form a network of caring individuals committed to the ongoing ministry of healing and service to the communities we serve.
If your personal philosophy fits with our view of health care and you would like further information on how you, as a Pharmacy professional, can become part of the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services team, please contact us.
