Seth C.R. Warren President
For nearly 100 years, St. James Hospital and Health Centers has cared for the sick and promoted health in the south suburban region by remaining true to our mission: Continuing Christ's ministry in our Franciscan tradition. As we look toward the future, it is an exciting time for us to lay the foundation for providing another century of expert care and joyful service.
When it comes to providing exceptional healthcare, a hospital needs to be committed to providing patients with access to the best physicians, services, technology and staff. At St. James, we are firmly committed to providing such care.
That commitment began the Thanksgiving day in 1911 when the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration opened St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Since then, St. James has continually expanded its services and facilities to provide the south suburban region with outstanding clinical care and access to the latest technologies and treatments-all delivered with compassion, respect and joy.
At our Olympia Fields campus, you and your family have access to three advanced treatment centers. The Heart and Vascular Institute offers a comprehensive disease management program. From prevention to rehabilitation, board-certified cardiologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners and medical staff apply the latest technologies and treatments to improve our patients' health and quality of life. The Patricia A. Joyce Comprehensive Cancer Institute is approved as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and provides the full range of cancer care for our patients, including access to national clinical trials.
Perhaps the greatest evidence of our commitment to the health of the residents of the south suburbs is our dedication to care for the poor and underserved. Consistent with our mission, St. James provides millions of dollars in free healthcare annually.
All of this, everything we do, would not be possible without the support and hard work of our physicians, nurses and staff. From the loading docks to the operating suites, and from environmental services to our nursing and medical staff, everyone here plays an important role and affects the care we provide to our patients. Our achievements over the last century are a reflection of their expertise, dedication and commitment.
We all stand ready to meet the healthcare needs of you and your family and we look forward to being of service to you.
Sincerely,
Seth Warren Regional Chief Executive Officer South Suburban Chicago Region/SSFHS President, St. James Hospital and Health Centers
